Another order rolled into the workshop and immediately raised the bar for us. The 3rd Tank Company reached out with a specific mission - the guys needed a commemorative statuette for Andrzej. From the very beginning, the client emphasized that they were on a tight schedule and the order needed to leave our shop as quickly as possible.
Instead of standard solutions, we went for a rather massive and dynamic scene. We placed a K2 tank model on the base, and right next to it, we stood the main character - a soldier figurine holding a heavy-duty workshop wrench. Following the guidelines from Patryk, who coordinated the order, we added a small detail to the wrench: the inscription "3kcz". To break up the flat surface and give the whole thing a bit of a field atmosphere, we diversified the area around the tank with sculpted tracks and sandbags. Of course, a plaque with a dedication was placed at the very front. We finished it all with hand-painting, which gave the plastic the look of heavy, weathered metal.
There was no room for makeshift work, especially when it came to size. The statuette is 22 cm tall, and its base is 15 by 16 cm. We ensured proper filling and weighting, bringing the final weight to over 2 kilograms. Holding it, you can feel that it is a solid piece of material. Due to the significant weight, we covered the bottom of the base with soft black velvet, which guarantees that moving the statuette won't scratch any furniture.
Although the time pressure was high, we managed to get it done on time. The client approved the photos of the finished project, made the payment immediately, and we packed the statuette and dropped it off at the parcel locker the very same day. The best reward for this quick pace was a short feedback message from the ordering party saying the work was "awesome". This is only the second post on our blog and we are still building this brand from scratch, but words like these are an incredible motivator. We're heading back to the workshop, because more projects are already waiting in line.
